About Me

How did Fuel Better with Lindsay come about?

I wasn’t particularly “sporty” or health-conscious growing up, and it wasn’t until I moved out on my own after college that I started to truly understand, connect with, and appreciate my body.

You could say I was late to the strength training party, since it wasn’t until I was around 21 years old that I finally got off the elliptical and picked up a weight. During my early days of weight training, I felt uncoordinated, weak, and frustrated. Tempted to quit along the way, I decided to stick with it because every little improvement gave me more drive to work harder, get stronger, and see what my body could accomplish.

If I was going to dedicate hours per week to exercise and challenging my body, I wanted to make sure I was doing my part to fuel it properly. This was 7 years ago, and what a journey it’s been. All of my low points in that journey (struggling with body image, focusing on the scale, balancing my wacked out hormones, obsessing over my daily caloric intake) have taught me invaluable lessons, which I’m able to share with others.

I’ve experimented with countless protocols, I’ve journaled, meal prepped, worked with naturopathic doctors, researched, and became a certified nutrition coach. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to work with clients, run educational “challenges” and host group talks.

Mostly, I just love talking about food.

Food is not the enemy. When used correctly, food can be medicine, freedom, & knowledge for our bodies.

Fuel Better with Lindsay came about because there is nothing that brings me more joy than to help others become healthier, happier versions of themselves.

I am an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, CrossFit L1, and Precision Nutrition certified coach.
