Brand Spotlight

Brand Spotlight: barnana

I decided to create a “Brand Spotlight” series that will review some of my favorites brands that I’ve tried and loved, and (in the case of today’s pick) brands that are actually doing something good in the world.

First up, barnana!

I discovered barnana in Whole Foods, when I was determined to find some plantain chips that weren’t made in vegetable/industrial seed oil.

It’s surprisingly VERY difficult to find snacks that aren’t made with canola oil, soybean oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, etc.

I felt like I hit the jackpot when I found barnana chips, because the ingredients were so simple. The bag I picked up was: Organic Plantains, Organic Coconut Oil, and Himalayan Pink Salt. Boom. I had found it.

Not only are the products they put out delicious, but the company has also put sustainability at the forefront of their business.

“Be kind. Protect the planet. Respect one another. And live a life of passion.”

I couldn’t love that mission any more!

The bananas and plantains that they use in their products are upcycled and sustainably harvested. They help support organic, regenerative and fair farming practices. To top it off (and the reason why I reached for these products in the first place), they use simple, wholesome ingredients.

Definitely worth a try if you find yourself in Whole Foods or other natural food stores that might carry this brand.

I’ve tried and loved their tortilla chips (yes, made of plantains!), plantain chips and banana brittle. All of which are 10/10.
